2017 marks YEAR SEVEN of highly-acclaimed haunted attraction Screams at the Beach, which draws thousands of victims to the Georgetown area annually for fright and fun. Local horror junkies may be familiar with this year’s wildly successful mid-season events, Halfway to Halloween and Summer Fever, where portions of the scream park were open for one night only. However, there’s nothing quite like the official start of Screams season every year in October.
“It’s our seventh year, and it will go far beyond anything we’ve done before,” says Screams producer and Seaford native Brian Turner. In addition to perennial favorites (such as the haunted House of the Hollow, Crimson Woods hayride from hell, and Zombie Paintball) Screams will be adding two Escape Room experiences to their wide array of nightmares. Escape Rooms are themed with victims’ worst fears in mind, and include a claustrophobic Dissection challenge along with SK2, a serial killer’s Kitchen that only the bravest will survive.
Turner confirmed that the Plague Doctor (a character who made a debut at July’s Summer Fever event) will indeed return to wreak further havoc on victims. “As the legend goes, the Doctor has become infected with the plague he desperately fought to prevent...and now Screams victims will have the chance to see his darker side.” A long-forgotten jailhouse on the outskirts of All Hallows will become the third addition for Year Seven--and a foreboding lair for the sickly Doctor as he stalks and seizes his prey. “Only the really brave victims will last longer than a few minutes inside the Prison of the Plague,” Turner predicts for the aptly-named attraction.
Official Year Seven tickets have been released for every level of victim: from the curious in search of a good scare, to the Super Fans who have been requesting season passes for years. “There’s something for everyone, no matter your budget or your phobias. We will find you in the dark, utterly terrify you, and make you scream. It’s our specialty, and something we take pride in,” Turner states in reference to the award-winning Scream Team of cursed characters. Over 100 local actors & haunt enthusiasts are employed by Screams every October, turning All Hallows Town into a shriek-filled, strobe-lit crowd of victims from near and far. Will you be one of them this season? It’s time to face your nightmares at YEAR SE7EN...only at Screams at the Beach.

3 petrifying attractions wrapped into 1 trail of terror...only the bravest will survive at SUMMER FEVER, presented by Screams at the Beach on Saturday, July 8th, 2017. A sickness has swept through the town of All Hallows, and the occupants have become more deranged than usual. Not to worry-- the Plague Doctor has set up camp in the town and is working feverishly to combat the outbreak. This event will include the best of Screams' outdoor attractions, plus a never-before explored trail with horror around every corner. To bring the most nightmares to life, Summer Fever will begin promptly at 8:00PM, allowing darkness to fall over the outskirts of town before the first victims venture in.
NEW CHARACTER ALERT: MEET THE PLAGUE DOCTOR ON 7/8!
It's time for your Screams summer checkup...so make an appointment with the Plague Doctor.
He knows something about getting a little sick, and believes a good scream cures all ailments. Don't get too close, though: nobody truly knows what viruses the Doctor carries, and if you look like a good candidate for lab experiments...you may never see the light of day again. The midsummer's dread of July 8th 2017 is not far off, and a contagious night of feverish terror is coming to catch you.
Halfway to halloween 4/29 event
Screams at the Beach is about to re-open the town gates of All Hallows and resurrect the scares for Hallowang this April...and horror fans across Delaware and the surrounding areas are invited to become the main course.
Hallowang (widely known as an Halfway to Halloween celebration) isn’t a new phenomenon in the world of haunted attractions, explains the Screams at the Beach team, but the ‘One Nightmare Stand’ on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 will be the first event of its kind at this particular venue. “It’s like Christmas in July...but with about 20 characters chasing you in the dark,” says Brian Turner, the Screams Creative Producer. And this is certainly a gift in its own right for local fright fans, who typically spend 11 months out of the year waiting for the award-winning 10 Nights of Screams-style terror.
For one night only, Screams will open 2 of its most popular attractions and provide a taste of terror at this exclusive event. General admission grants access to both attractions, and VIP offers expedited lines PLUS a secret bonus for the 2017 scare season. Limited quantities of tickets are now available - order online to get the BEST deal for just $10/victim!
